Before designing merchandise for an animation or game, the top priority is to consider, “Can our merchandise allow fans to fully immerse themselves?”
If the item, like the pocket watch from Fullmetal Alchemist, actually appears in the animation, we focus on how precisely we can replicate its details. On the other hand, if we need to create merchandise that doesn’t appear in the work or game, we start designing with the mindset of, “If I were the protagonist in that world, what kind of item would I have?”
In the case of the Cookie Run: Kingdom pocket watch, it’s a mix of both approaches. We focused on how accurately we could recreate the compass that appears in the game’s loading screen, while for the parts that weren’t depicted, we designed them with the goal of creating merchandise that would naturally blend into the world of Cookie Run: Kingdom.
※ How to Use the Watch ※
The watch opens easily by pressing the button located on the ring.
① Gently lift the crown located on the ring until you feel a slight “click.”
② When the crown is lifted, the time stops. At this point, turn the crown left or right to set the time.
③ After setting the time, push the crown back down until you feel a “click,” then check if the time is running.
